SAGITTARIUS fae, Alratari

Her soul aflame, she soars above, unburdened by the inexorable pull of time and toil. There are many pieces in play here to give that unfettered sense of freedom, such as Alratari’s long flowing locks and fluttering ribbons. Figuring out the horse anatomy was definitely the hardest part, but actually going in to paint it turned out to be quite enjoyable. It took me a while to decide how her wings should look, but ultimately, I decided to just have her resemble a Pegasus, since there is already so much going on with the rest of the design. Sometimes, simple is better. Purple is the brilliant color of Sagittarius.
